Dr. Judi Provencal

Judi Provencal is both a Professor at the University of Delaware and the Resident Astronomer at Mount Cuba Astronomical Observatory. In her free time, you can find her riding her horse Monty, spending time at home with her cats, or being bothered by her students (see below).

Millie Dill

My name is Millisen (Millie) Dill. I’m a fourth-year student majoring in Physics (BS) with a concentration in Astronomy and a minor in Mathematics. I currently do research with Dr. Judith L. Provencal in which I study hydrogen atmosphere pulsating white dwarfs. I also did research with Dr. Ed Nowak for the National Eclipse Ballooning Project. I’m the vice president of the Society of Physics Students. In my free time, I enjoy being around friends and playing my piano.

Kaylee Grace (she/they)

Kaylee Grace is a fourth-year graduate student at the University of Delaware, where she works with Dr. Provencal. They got their undergraduate degrees in Physics (B.S., Honors) and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies (B.A.) from the University of Connecticut, with a minor in Astrophysics. In her free time, you can find her reading, playing cozy games, and cross-stitching.

Zach Savery (he/him)

Steven Zachery Savery is a fourth year graduate student at the University of Delaware, working with Judith L. Provencal to study white dwarfs. He got his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina Asheville, majoring in Physics with minors in Astronomy and Mathematics. He spent the majority of his life in North Carolina, but has also lived in Colorado and Maine. His interests include learning about history, science, playing video games, and watching sports.

Ben Mayhew

Ben is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Delaware working with Dr. Provencal.

Evelyn Palmer

Evelyn is a sophomore undergraduate student at the University of Delaware working with Dr. Provencal.
